Amada Colossos Resort is a five-star hotel located on Kallithea Beach on the east coast of Rhodes, just 10 km from Rhodes Town. A friendly all-inclusive resort overlooking a golden sand beach. Facilities include a 140-meter infinity pool with swim-up bar and jacuzzi and, as a counterpoint, an adrenaline-pumping waterpark.

Location

The resort is located close to the island’s northern tip and well situated for visiting some of the island’s most popular sights: lively nightlife hub Faliraki is just 4.5 km away; Kalithea’s spring-fed waters and pretty blond-sand beach is 7.4 km, whilst Rhodes with its medieval old town, walkable ramparts, souvenir shops and Grand Master Palace is 10.6 km away.

Style and Character

From the outside, the boxy Seventies-style façade looks rather anonymous. Once inside, however, friendly service and stylish modern décor rapidly dispel that initial impression. The photo-begging main focus for the L-shaped resort is the vast main pool, with its different areas linked by humpbacked bridges. From the pool, the resort slopes in a gentle jumble of neat shrubs, colorful flowers and well-tended lawns to a long sandy beach. The resort is compact and it’s pleasantly easy to get around.

The resort had a €50m reconstruction completed in 2018 with a focus on integrating the hotel into its natural surroundings. The hotel has preserved and reused local materials, such as black slate tiles from the 1970s, in its design. Artwork and sculptures, curated by Roula Soulounia, adorn the hotel, reflecting its Greek heritage.

Service and Facilities

The staff – especially in the resort’s restaurants – deliver impeccable service, always with a smile. The resort’s vast main pool is the real show-stealer here – a 140-meter infinity pool with a swim-up bars and jacuzzi. Surrounded by comfortable sun loungers and overlooking the wide Kalithea beach, lined with cabanas and sun beds, and the Aegean Sea, this zone is designed to encourage peace, quiet and relaxation – a perfect contrast to the resort’s adrenaline-pumping waterpark with its thrilling slides and rides.

Other facilities include a tennis court and a good-sized gym with treadmills, weights and other StarTrac equipment. If you’ve forgotten the toothpaste or the designer swimwear there are also a handful of shops.

Rooms

There are 699 rooms, suites and villas with sea or garden views in a bewildering number of categories, reached via a labyrinth of carpeted corridors. Décor is crisp and airy with orthopaedic Candia Strom mattresses, dove-grey or mint-green throws, and handcrafted wooden bedsteads. Separate bathrooms with French brand Phytomer toiletries have old-fashioned tubs and handheld showers.

Food and Drink

This year we are offering an extra comfortable all-inclusive experience. This means that all meals and beverages at the hotel are included. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served as well-stocked buffets in the main restaurant. Here you choose what you like based on your preference and special diet needs.
