Where are we going this year?
We are happy to invite you to the beautiful Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort. A 5 star hotel located in Albufeira, in Algarve, with direct access to the beautiful Santa Eulalia beach. A great location for Summit 2026.
The Algarve coast stretches along southern Portugal and is famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, hidden coves, and crystal-clear waters. It’s a popular destination for sun-seekers, surfers, and golfers, with a mild climate and stunning ocean views year-round.
Albufeira is a lively coastal town known for its golden beaches, whitewashed buildings, and vibrant nightlife. Once a quiet fishing village, it now blends traditional charm with modern tourism, offering scenic cliffs, narrow streets, and plenty of restaurants and bars.
How do we get there and back?
To make the trip as smooth as possible, we have planned the following:
Chartered flights
To make the trip as convenient as possible, you will fly to Faros airport (FAO) in Portugal with chartered airplanes. They will depart sometime in the early morning from:
Malmö
Gothenburg
Stockholm
The flight time will be between 3,5 and 4 hours depending on departure city.
Transfer to the airports in Sweden
Just as in previous years, some of you will travel to your airport by chartered buses, some by ride sharing and some on your own. This is due, for example, to:
Which office you belong to.
Where you live.
Which flight you are assigned to.
The distance to the airport that you are traveling from.
Hotel in Sweden ahead of departure
Due to distance and flight connections, some of you might start your journey one day earlier. In these cases you will find this information in your personal travel confirmation (sent via email) and on this website.
Transfer in Portugal
When we arrive to Faros airport (FAO) in Portugal we will have a approx. 40 min bus transfer to the hotel.
When can I get exact information about flight times?
We are often asked about exact departure times, so here is some clarification.
Even though we have chartered flights, this does not mean that we can completely decide on the departure times ourselves.
Since there are several flights that need to be coordinated and adjusted to various factors, it can be difficult to get exactly the time you want.
Departure times can be changed several times, even close to the departure day, depending on:
Airline capacity and planning.
Slot times at the airport.
Other technical or logistical conditions.
We understand that it can create some confusion and irritation when departure times are adjusted and changed, which in turn affects some participants.
We want you to know that we are doing our best to make the trip as convenient as possible for all participants. We will inform you as soon as possible of any changes.
Please stay updated via the event website in the days before departure and before returning home.
How does the flight check-in procedure work?
Since we have chartered flights you do as follows:
Locate the check-in desk of your flight on the airport terminal monitors.
Go to that check-in desk for check-in, passport check and baggage drop.
You will now receive your boarding pass and are welcome to go through security.
Do I need a flight ticket to check-in at the airport?
Since we have chartered flights you don't need a ticket. After you have gone through the check-in procedure you will receive your boarding pass and are welcome onboard.
Do I have a travel insurance?
You are covered by a travel insurance from Europeiska/ERV if you were to become ill, get injured or if any other circumstances occur while traveling. In addition to that we have an extra insurance via Danir for group travels from AIG Europe.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, you do. Make sure that your passport is valid throughout your stay. As a general rule, it is recommended that your passport remains valid for at least three months after the end of your trip. You can read more here: In- och utresebestämmelser - Sweden Abroad
If you need to apply for a new passport, we kindly ask you to do so as soon as possible. If you feel comfortable travelling with a national ID card, that is also acceptable.
If you are not a Swedish citizen, please contact your embassy to find out whether there are any specific requirements or actions you need to take before travelling to Portugal.
