In this article you will find the answers to some of the most frequently asked question regaring the travel to Sigma Technology Summit 2025. Feel free to drop us an email if you can't find the answer to your question here.
When are we leaving for Sigma Technology Summit?
On October 17, 2025. In some rare cases you will leave one day eralier. In that case you will be notified. You arrive home again on October 20.
Where are we going this year?
We are excited to announce that Sigma Technology Summit 2025 will be held on the beautiful island of Rhodes in Greece! This year we will stay at the hotel Amada Colossos Resort located in Faliraki. The hotel offers a perfect mix of beautiful views, space for socializing and more that we hope you will enjoy!
How do we get there and back?
To make the trip as smooth as possible, we have planned the following:
Chartered flights
To make the trip as convenient as possible, you will fly to Diagoras airport (RHO) in Rhodes with chartered airplanes. They will depart sometime in the morning from:
Malmö
Gothenburg
Stockholm
The flight time will be between 3,5 and 4 hours depending on departure city.
Transfer to the airports in Sweden
Just as in previous years, some of you will travel to your airport by chartered buses, some by ride sharing and some on your own. This is due, for example, to:
Which office you belong to.
Where you live.
Which flight you are assigned to.
The distance to the airport that you are traveling from.
Hotel in Sweden ahead of departure
Due to distance and flight connections, some of you might start your journey one day earlier. In these cases you will find this information in your personal travel confirmation (sent via email) and on this website.
Transfer in Greece
When we arrive to Diagoras airport (RHO) in Rhodes we will have a 30 min bus transfer to the hotel.
If I’m going to the airport in Sweden by chartered bus, what bus do I take?
If you are going to travel by chartered bus to the airport in Sweden, we will notify you of your pick-up point before departure via email in your personal travel confirmation.
The buses will pick up participants at Sigma offices or central locations in the cities.
If you live in a different town than the one where your office is located, you may go on a bus that leaves closer from where you live. All to make the trip as convenient as possible.
It is important that you indicate the correct city where you live, and not the city of your office, when you register your personal details. This will make your transportation easier, facilitate our work and reduce the risk of confusion.
When can I get exact information about flight times?
We are often asked about exact departure times, so here is some clarification.
Even though we have chartered flights, this does not mean that we can completely decide on the departure times ourselves.
Since there are several flights that need to be coordinated and adjusted to various factors, it can be difficult to get exactly the time you want.
Departure times can be changed several times, even close to the departure day, depending on:
Airline capacity and planning.
Slot times at the airport.
Other technical or logistical conditions.
We understand that it can create some confusion and irritation when departure times are adjusted and changed, which in turn affects some participants.
We want you to know that we are doing our best to make the trip as convenient as possible for all participants. We will inform you as soon as possible of any changes.
Please stay updated via the event website in the days before departure and before returning home.
Do I have a travel insurance?
You are covered by a travel insurance from Europeiska/ERV if you were to become ill, get injured or if any other circumstances occur while traveling. In addition to that we have an extra insurance via Danir for group travels from AIG Europe.
Do I need a passport?
Yes you do. Make sure that your passport is valid during the whole stay. In general it is good to ensure that your passport is valid 3 months after your trip ends. If you need to apply for a new passport we kindly ask you to do so as soon as possible.
If you are not a Swedish citizen please contact your embassy and investigate if there is anything you must do in advance to visiting Greece.
Does Sigma compensate for the environmental impact of the event?
Yes! We compensate through all our suppliers with a common goal to reduce the CO2 impact of the event. Further compensation is also done through Vi – skogen.
